Abstract: Secure andefficient data transmission is crucial for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) whichhave more and more widely used for many practical applications such as airpollution monitoring, area monitoring, environmental sensing, and forest firedetection, etc.. In this talk, we will identify the adversary model andsecurity attacks, and security mechanisms for WSNs. We focus on thecluster-based WSNs and will present two novel secure and dynamic data transmissionprotocols for the cluster-based WSNs by utilizing the Identity-Based digitalSignature (IBS) scheme. We will also show security analysis and the efficiency ofthe proposed schemes through careful system evaluation.
